Hi, after building a simple XP-Rafts 2013 model and linking it to Storm-Injector, I click "Run Models", then XP-Rafts opens and prompts me to open a model. The model doesn't load with the Storm-Injector storm. What should I be doing?

Hi Nick,

Can you confirm what EXE you are linking to in the Settings tab? It should be the 'raftsEngW.exe' file, mine is:  C:\XPS\xprafts2013\raftsEngW.exe

Also, when you are prompted for the template file, you need to select a *.dat file which is a intermediary file created when the model is run in RAFTS. There is some further info in the help file which I have reproduced below:

Please let me know if this helps?

XP-RAFTS Template File

The template file for XP-RAFTS is the *.dat file generated by the XP-RAFTS software when calculating a model. As such, you will need to create a XP-RAFTS project file, setup a simple storm (this will be overridden so the details are not important) and run the model with RAFTS. If you then look in the same directory as the project file, you should find the .DAT file for use as the template. If you wish to view hydrographs in Storm Injector, please ensure you setup RAFTS to properly export the total hydrograph files (*.tot).

If your require assistance creating the topographic data for an XP-RAFTS file, CatchmentSIM can help. CatchmentSIM creates an XPX file that can be imported into XP-RAFTS. At this stage, any further setup can be undertaken, a dummy storm added and the model run to create the .DAT file.

That solved it for me, Chris. I was linking to the wrong EXE.
