Hey All,

So I just finished reading "zombies werewolves vampires and other improbable things" by El Sol (http://storiesonline.net/s/71259/) and I found that I really enjoyed the Post-Apocalypse aspect of it with the more supernatural elements mixed in. Specifically I enjoyed there being more than just one type of threat in the various creatures people had turned into and other survivor groups attacking each other. The other aspects of the story I liked was the Main character having powers that became very necessary to use in the new world.

I know it can be difficult to find good stories with the right mix of things so I'm looking for recommendations based on "zombies werewolves vampires and other improbable things" with a focus on the "Monster apocalypse" and "special abilities" ideas.

Thanks for the help.

These types of stories, with the 'hero monsters' are a relatively new invention, with more cases occurring in best sellers than in movies (although the ideas are then copied endlessly afterwards). But, due to that relationship, I doubt there's a lot of zombie-werewolf-vampire-post-apocalyptic stories to be found, at least on SOL. However, I'd imagine there's any number of them on Switch's favorite site, which focuses on young-adult amateur fiction. (I'd include a reference link, but I can't remember the name of the site offhand).

I concur. "Worm" is amazing. Wildbow has created a pièce de résistance in the parahuman / post-apocalyptic genres. https://parahumans.wordpress.com/

Another very engaging online supernatural mega-serial is "Tales of MU" by Alexanda Erin http://www.talesofmu.com/book01/1

And, of course there's HPMOR, Less Wrong / Eliezer Yudkowski's delightfully irreverent reimagining of Harry Potter as a rationalist / academic child prodigy. And he's (finally) posting the concluing chapters this month! http://hpmor.com/
