Anyone with a Mr. Double account that would like to help me out?

Caution, the story involves a preteen character, including some scenes
in infancy.

I read this story back in the early days of my time on the internet,
somewhere in the mid 90s. It looks like there is a new chapter or
two, but even those are several years old. It was one of the first
a.s.s. style stories I read, and I'd like to revisit it.

I have found it at Mr. Double, but it's in the subscription only area,
and I'm not going to join his site for one story (even if I had any
money, which I don't.) Also, there was the whole bit where Mr.
Double's lawyers claimed DMCA on a bunch of Loliwood stories, even
though his site didn't actually OWN the copyrights, and the authors
are the ones who posted at Loliwood. I can't even contact the author
to request a copy without being a member. Somehow I read the story
long ago in a free area, or it was posted to the newsgroups. If
anyone has a copy of this, or knows where I could find it for free,
that would be wonderful. If nothing else, would anyone be willing to
download it from Mr. Double and mail it to me?

The story is Suki (in 4 parts,) by PeachLover.

Sorry, tried to help. The story sounded familiar, although I'd never tried Mr.Double, so I did a quick search on ASSTR. Unfortunately, there were 502316 stories containing the name "Suki" in the title! Not much help.

Try and remember where you saw it, as I have a list of most of the stories posted to ASS and ASSD for the period 2003 to 2011, and I can't find on on there.

Thanks to both of you (Crumbly Writer and Deadly Earnest) for looking.

Unfortunately, I can barely remember what I did last year, much less
10 years ago. I do know I was reading stories in the newsgroups, at
ASSTR, and occasionally at Mr. Double (in the free sections.) I don't
know if Mr. Double ever posted stories to the newsgroups to stir up
interest for his site, or not. It's possible that the story was in
one of his free sections at one time, and later moved (or maybe the
Palisades pay area was free for a time.) If nothing else, the author
might have posted his work somewhere else, then pulled it after he
went to Mr. Double.

All I can recall is that I read considerably more of the story than
the brief preview available to non-members on the Mr. Double site,
although I'm pretty sure I never read chapter 4 (and maybe chapter
3.) Both of those were posted more than a year after the first two
parts.

It would help if you could remember just a bit more about the plot or the characters too.

I did a search at ASSTR and there are 502,316 hits, but when I tweak the search to NOT show those where the author is Suki or the author is HaRkOnIn it cuts down to under forty hits and none of those are anything like what little you have here. - - It seems the two authors above were very prolific and liked to use the name Suki. This effectively eliminates the stories having been on any of the A.S.S. groups at all.

I've checked several other sites and found many stories with a title of Suki, but none with an author of PeachLover, in fact I can't find a single story by that author anywhere.

Oddly enough, I just checked the Mr Double site - first time I've been there, and the summary for the story Suki Part 3 is familiar to me from somewhere else. I've never been to the Mr Double site before today, so it can't be from there.

I have the story in my personal collection, but I'm reluctant to pass it on without permission of the author.

BTW it was posted in four parts on MrDouble.

As I recall, a few years ago PeachLover pulled all his stories, he said, because he got a letter from someone praising his lifestyle, apparently confusing fantasy with reality.

Actually Mr. Double may have rights to the stories as they recently started a new policy that allowed them to pay a percentage of the profit to the Authors based on the number of Downloads the Author received  however  to get the money the Author had to exclusively post to the Mr. Double site. If PeachLover agreed to this, then the Author sold the stories on the sight to Mr. Double.

The usual is not to sell the story, but to sell limited publishing rights, like renting it out.
