The subject pretty much says it. With the new forum software the old
list is pretty much dead but the new forum does not appear to have
taken over. I will actually be interested to see if the web forum
succeeds.

I wouldn't exactly say 'the old forum is dead'. It's always enjoyed brief bits of excitement, interspaced with extreme slow periods. For the most part, it's the core group that steps in whenever the site has been 'dead' for several days that launches a new, slightly controversial, conversation.

Part of the problem is that Lazeez said he'll likely trash any new content on the new forum, so most people are reluctant to start new discussions on the new forum, while also spending time looking for holes in the new site.

No need to trash everything. I would trash the 'testing testing' type of messages. The rest will remain if it's normal discussion.

Which emphasizes on of my requests. Added a 'delete entry' button would allow the users to clean up their own mess (though sometimes, we need someone to go through and toss out all the junk at once).

I'm working on edit/delete and read/unread functionality. I started the beta test (which in reality is alpha testing) in order to find the priorities.

OK, Soronel, I concede your point. This discussions (beyond mere 'test' trials) seems to have slipped.
