Hi,
I like stories were someone gets a lot of money (lottery, unexpected inheritance, whatever) and then his life changes.
It is not easy to search for it (or i lack the right keywords) and i would be grateful for suggestions.

Johnny Billionaire e.g. is a bad example in my point of view (not a bad story but not what i am looking for)  because the character is not really changing through the money. I think much money changes more than the appartment you live in.

thanks for any advice!

There are so many of these on SoL that I sometimes think it should have
a category. Just a search on "lottery" in the description gives yo 22
results on SoL, and then there are the inheritance, befriended by
someone rich, etc.

Lottery alone:
Tycoon by Raven Soule starts with our hero and narrator winning the lottery.
Caring for Julie by Uncle Jim
Dollar and a Dream by Vax
Hiding in Plain Sight by Mystere
I Won! by Martinmac
Winning Numbers by Lazlong

WTSman has a few in his "George" series where a poor girl gets into a
relationship with a wealthy guy:
- Odd Job
- The Proposition
- The Fat Girl
- Evening School

In addition to the stories Gary already mentioned, there's also
"Bowling for Hearts" by Rare Dream, which would fit well into your
lottery genre.

BlueDragon's "John Billionaire
" (and its sequels) fits the sudden and very unexpected inheritance criteria.

A slightly different take on this would be "Millionaire next door" by Lazlo Zalezac and "One New Horizon" by sagacious.

Millionaire next door is one of my most loved stories as it actually changed some of my views on life
Right now i read the "Bowling for Hearts" recommendation and really like the story so far.

I will look into the Sagacious story next.

The OP said in his original post that John Billionaire didn't fit his criteria, because, while he did suddenly come into money, it didn't significantly change his life.

Artie: The Golden Mule  (removed from the web...you need to find someone with a copy)

Artie has left the raw files.
Look at http://www.asstr.org/files/Authors/artie/text/
files that look like tgm.? and tgmr.?.

Deana Johns Aka D.J. "Doc" Pedersen: "Castle in the Sand" (You have to find someone who has it to get a copy)

For Castle in the Sand:
http://assm1.asstr.org/cgi-bin/field_search.cgi?search={ASSM}%20Castle%20In%20The%20Sand%20[&index=subject&order=numeric

One more: The Lottery, or possibly The Lottery Winner:
http://internetdump.com/users/evault/lottery1-5.html and so on.
Warning: the format is not easy to read, and the pages have pop-up ads. Yuck.  BDSM.

Also, My Inheritance by E. Z. Riter, on SOL and ASSTR.

The only one of my stories that really fits this is "For the Love of
an Angel" http://storiesonline.net/s/64580 it is still in progress,
but takes the girl from an abduction and rape victim for most of her
life to a billionaire heiress in two chapters.
