Spyder also supports several types of specialized consoles.A Sympy console enables creating and displaying symbolic math expressions right inside Spyder.A Cython console allows you to use the Cython language to speed up your code and call C functions directly from Python. Finally, a Pylab console loads common Numpy and Matplotlib functions by default; while this is deprecated and strongly discouraged for new code, it can still be used if necessary for legacy scripts that need it.
You can connect to external local and remote kernels (including those managed by Jupyter Notebook or QtConsole) through the Connect to an existing kernel dialog under the Consoles menu. For this feature to work, a compatible version of the spyder-kernels package must be installed in the environment or machine in which the external kernel is running.
You can get jupyter/runtime/dir/path by executing jupyter --runtime-dir in the same Python environment as the kernel.Usually, the connection file you are looking for will be one of the newest in this directory, corresponding to the time you started the external kernel.
If you Spider is behind a NAT with port forward, e.g. 5555 -> 443, you need to either change the setting to 5555 (probably you don't want this if inside the NAT you want to continue using 443), or change the spider.jnlp file that the web UI offers you for download.
I was trying to connect the Java Web Start application via HTTP, but while the Spider configuration UI supports both HTTP and HTTPS, the Java Web Start application supports only HTTPS. (Got the idea from here (in German).)
The options button not working (see problem above) means you cannot access the virtual keyboard or enter keyboard shortcuts. As a workaround, you can add keyboard shortcuts from the Web UI, in the tab Interfaces -> KVM Console Settings, for example:
The hotkeys are not actually a setting of the Spider, but a setting of the javaws application; the web UI just generates the .jnlp file accordingly. That means you can also add keyboard shortcuts directly in the JNLP file if you know the key codes.
Ive got the same problem. Bought the wheel the other day. Plugged it in this morning for FH3 and no show on steering. Pedals and buttons work just fine though. Ive tried all of the aforementioned fixes with no joy.
same thing happened to me and it has an easy fix, what you are doing is connecting the controller for the xbox before the steering wheel so the game thinks the controller is the main control device. you have to turn the cconsole off plug in the steering wheel in usb port 1 and then turn it on if that does not work its probably broke
hello - sorry to revive an old post but I also have Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 wheel. This was working just fine for months and all of sudden, the wheel movements are not registering properly. I do full turn on the wheel but the game registers slight errartic movements. All buttons and pedals work. I bought a second unit and does the same. Thanks
I was so pleased, I was even considering jumping back for future expansions (if the main game remained on Game Pass, as I had been unwilling to spend 30 so far) to stay involved with future storylines. Then I remembered that the next DLC/expansion is Spider-Man, which is controversially only available on PS4 and PS5. If I wanted to experience that story and play as the most iconic Marvel superhero, I would have to buy the game on PlayStation.
Of course, console manufacturers need to provide reasons for gamers to buy their console over another, and the best way to do that so far has been exclusive games. If you want to play Halo, Fable, or Gears of War, you need to buy an Xbox or be part of the Windows 10 ecosystem. If you want to play Uncharted, The Last of Us, or Ratchet & Clank, you need to buy a PlayStation or stream them from PlayStation Now on PC long after their debuts. If you want to play Mario, Metroid, or Zelda, go buy a Nintendo console. For a long time, this was the only successful way to determine which games console was better.
Walmart is currently offering a PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition Console bundled with the Spider-Man 2 game for only $449 shipped. This was the same deal we saw back during Black Friday, but it's currently unavailable everywhere else. Some merchants have the PS5 console for $450, but doesn't include the game.
The PS5 Slim was release in November 2023. Compared to the original PlayStation 5 console, it's 30% smaller in volume and 18% lighter. The design is a bit different too; the console is now clad in four separate cover panels, the two top halves are glossy white and the bottom halves are matte like the original. The specs under the hood are identical. Like the original PS5, the PS5 Slim can be upgraded with an M.2 SSD. A horizontal stand is included. You'd have to buy a vertical stand separately, however you might not need it because the PS5 Slim can stand on its own.
To the point, it would be really nice to be able to swap spiders with something else. There is a mod on PC, but he does not have a computer powerful enough to run the game. He does have an Xbox though. Is there a chance that mods will come to Xbox? Or at the very least the spider replacer mod as a server setting?
Immerse yourself in expansive surround sound by pairing the Sony PULSE 3D Wireless Gaming Headset with the PlayStation 5 console. Designed to fully complement the PlayStation 5, this wireless headset is powered by Tempest 3D AudioTech to put you in the center of detailed soundscapes, with audio that feels like it comes from all directions
The bionik Power Stand for PlayStation 5 features dual charge and a display dock for up to 2 DualSense wireless controllers. It is specifically designed to provide the optimal charging current for fastest charging times using an AC adapter vs. a USB-C cable charge from the PS5. This power stand includes a dual charger, AC power adapter, and user manual.
The console itself is predominantly black but with a splash of Spider-Man red in the bottom corner. This has been stylized to give the appearance that the black is closing in on the red patch. This is a clear tribute to the alien symbiote that Peter Parker will tangle with in the Spider-Man 2 game. There is also a white Spider-Man logo within the red section of the design. The underside of the console is entirely black apart from a second Spider-Man logo towards the bottom.
While we're still waiting on a confirmed price for the Spider-Man 2 console, Insomniac has just confirmed the retail prices for these accessories. The limited-edition DualSense will cost $79, while the Console Covers will retail for $64. That's roughly in line with previous limited-edition items, although the console faceplates are slightly more expensive than the previous colorways that have been released.
If you have IPython installed, the Scrapy shell will use it (instead of thestandard Python console). The IPython console is much more powerful andprovides smart auto-completion and colorized output, among other things.

On a Spider (as opposed to a Spider Duo), double check that both PS/2 connectors and the USB connector, or both USB connectors are plugged into the host, and that both blue Power LEDs are lit. If only one Power LED is lit then the Spider is not getting enough power.
Note 3: If your Spider was manufactured in 2007 or early 2008 then it's console port may boot up set to 115200, then switch to 9600 after the firmware has loaded from flash. If you are having problems getting to the => prompt on an older Spider here are a few things you can try:
The promotional video for the console and controller bundle (below) is pretty awesome too, featuring a voiceover with Peter and Miles calling to each other while trapped beneath a sludge of symbiote that covers the console, followed by a reveal of the new design, and then a black screen with the slogan: Be Greater. Together. (Don't fancy waiting? Check out the best PS5 deals available now.)
Spider-Man 2 is currently being shown off as part of a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where several key actors involved in the game and some developers at Insomniac Games are revealing new details about what to expect from the sequel. This included a brand-new story trailer and the confirmation of some specific details about the game, such as how long it's been since Miles Morales and the fact that Mr Negative is making a return.
Outside of the new trailer and story details, Insomniac Games also took the time to show off some merchandise related to the game, including showing the collector's edition off in-person for the first time. That wasn't all, though, as one of the final surprises of the night was the reveal of an exclusive Spider-Man 2 PS5 bundle that features a controller and console themed around the game.
The console was first shown off by Insomniac Games' Bryan Intihar before the PlayStation Blog gave us a full look at what's included. The bundle, which is called the "Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle" features a custom PS5 console case which showcases the symbiote closing in on a big white spider emblem. The bundle also features a matching DualSense with the same design and a voucher for a digital copy of the game. A bit of a shame that there's no disk, but that's standard practice for console bundles nowadays.
