calculator application

Guys I want to build free calculator application that will help
storage administrator to calculate Disk Space.
When he ask the vendor for 2TB, the storage administrator need to know
how much free space he will get after formating the disks and create
file system on it.

Now I know that Disk Space Calculation Formula is per vendor of
storage and disk manufacture.
Any idea from where to get this information.

This is not exactly what I ment.
I will tell you what I mean.
for example you buy 2TB from netapp.
you are labeling and formmating the disks.
now let's leave the snapshot on the side for the moment becuase this
can be changed from user to user.
after we done this process and created file system we have much less
storage to begin with as we know.
what I need is the formula to calculate it.
why I need it ? becuase storage administrator always know how much
storage he will need but this number will be after formmating and
creating filesystem.
I want to close the gap between all vendors and clients.
now I know there is diffrenet formula to each one of the vendor.
it also depands on the size of the disk. for example 144G or 512G
etc..
