Celebrating Israel's capability for death & destruction

The exhibition on Israeli Medicine, Science and Technology is planned for inside the Scottish Parliament, April 27-29th.

Below is the link to the Parliament e-Petitions website.  The window to gather signatures is short, closing date is 9 April – which will give us a chance to take the petition to the Petitions Committee on 20 April.  Please cascade link to your lists, Facebook, twitters, etc.

Signatures and comments welcome from around the world.  Channel your anger and write your comments for effect.  They are read.

Extract from the ‘Background information’ provided with the petition:

"This exhibition is nothing more than a shameless PR exercise to promote Israel in a positive light while the Report by the UNs Judge Goldstone calls for Israel to be taken to the International Criminal Court for its war crimes and crimes against humanity.

"Israel has bombed Palestinian hospitals, fired shots at ambulances, denied medical treatment to seriously ill Palestinians and detained women in labour at checkpoints forcing them to deliver there…”

Next court appearance 29th March 2010

We urge as many people as possible to join us outside the court for a commemoration of Land Day and in support of the Palestinian called international day of Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions action on 30 March.

Join the SPSC 5 at 9.30am outside Edinburgh Sheriff Court. A full courtroom each day to date has really made a difference.

-->Let us know you'll be there so we can make sure the allocated court room will hold all supporters: email camp...@scottishpsc.org.uk

"On March 30, Palestinian people scattered across the globe mark Land Day, commemorating the events of 33 years ago, when Israeli security forces shot and killed six young Palestinian citizens of Israel and injured many.  These brave youth were among the thousands protesting Israel’s expropriation of Palestinian land to build new Jewish colonies and expand existing Jewish cities. Today, Land Day symbolizes Palestinian resistance to Israel’s ongoing land expropriation, apartheid, colonization and occupation."
