Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I hope that all of you are doing well and that you continue to be thankful for this wonderful life God has given us! I write to all of you again in urgent request for prayers for my cousin Jared.
The last time I wrote you, Jared's health had stabilized and he was starting to interact with the doctors and his family, even being able to signal to them and answer questions using hand motions. Sadly however, Jared's progress has been reversing since then. Though it was very encouraging that Jared was making such progress, he has since been put on a lot of drugs and now has a very difficult time functioning. He hardly stays awake anymore and is so out of it that he can no longer truly communicate with his family. The doctors say that the tranquilizers are necessary for Jared's safety but it is clear they are having a strong effect on him.
In hopes of making him better, Jared is going in to surgery today to have the piece of his skull that was removed after the accident replaced. The doctors hope that by replacing this piece of skull, it will help in Jared's recovery process. As you can imagine however, Jared is in a very weak state and head surgery can be very dangerous.
Therefore, I am sincerely asking that all of you once again lift Jared up in your prayers and ask that Lord please heal Jared. Specifically, please pray that Jared's surgery is successful. Also please pray that Jared may once again gain back his functions as a result of his skull being replaced. More than anything, please pray that God heal Jared's brain and give him the ability to once again be a young boy, to talk with his parents, and eventually heal.
We have been shown in the past that God hears our prayers as proven by the fact that every specific prayer request we asked of the Lord was answered within a few days! Therefore keep faith! Those who call upon the Lord with a faithful and hopeful heart will be heard! It is the promise we have from the Divine Creator.
I will email in a few days as soon as I get another update. May your faith be strong and pure and may your prayers be powerful and sincere. Most of all, may we continue to have faith in the Christ!
