Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

First of all I would like to thank you all so much for the love and support that has been pouring out from you since announcing the tragic accident involving my cousin. I can confidently say that the prayer request for Jared has gone out to over 1,000 people and I pray that all those who read the message may join us in prayer for my cousin. The love of Christ radiates from all of you and I thank God with all my heart and soul for everyone one of you. Through Christ all things are possible and I know that God will heal my cousin and allow him to live. Thank you in joining me in this faith and passionately showing your love towards a fellow brother of Christ.

I am thankful to God to announce that this afternoon Jared went into surgery and had a blood clot the size of an egg successfully removed from his head. Miraculously his brain is still responding well, reducing fear that there is brain damage. God was truly with Jared today.

Though the blood clot was removed from his head, Jared still remains in critical condition and is now developing signs of an infection which could possibly be pneumonia. As you can imagine, in his extremely delicate state pneumonia can be fatal so Jared is still under the risk of death. While the doctors are hopeful of a recovery, they still have given no assurance that Jared will survive. His life still hangs in a delicate balance.

I therefore humbly ask that you all continue to keep Jared in your prayers. Please pray that God heal Jared of his infection and fill his body with the strength needed to fight for his life and to survive. Pray that Christ's spirit fill his body, healing all imperfections and removing any hold that death may have on him. Also, please pray for Jared's family that they may continue to have strength and Christ's spirit may fill them with hope. The Lord has declared " For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer 29:11 Pray for hope and pray for a future for my cousin, that he may become a tool of Christ, and a testimony to the power of God's love and healing.

Finally, I have found an article regarding my cousin on the internet. You can find it at the following address:

In the name of Christ I once again thank all of you for your prayers. Continue to ask of the Lord to "Stretch out his hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of his holy servant Jesus." Acts 4:30.

May we continue to have faith in the promise of the power of prayer that we have been shown through Jesus Christ, that we may believe in the power of His name so that Jared may be saved.

I thank you with all my heart and will continue to keep you updated.

God Bless You All,

Mike Masten
