Hi everyone-
Here's a helpful hint for working with the audio track in Dragon Stop. The scenario is like this:
1. You load up your audio file
2. You put in dialogue cues and are VERY excited about them
3. You realize that you'd like to split this session up and do it in two takes instead of just the one, but if you offset the audio track for the new take, the dialog cues won't move with it (so the cues will be off and your hard-earned work will be for nothing). What do you do?
If you want to be extra careful, copy your scene so that you can 'play' with the new one without upsetting the old one by going to the Animation window, selecting File and then "Duplicate Scene". It will duplicate what you have loaded (with all the takes) to the new name you specify.
Now that you can sleep at night, to adjust the audio track with the dialog cues together, hold down the Control key (this is the PC version - use the Mac equivalent of the Control key) and select the left or right arrows to step the audio track and the dialog cues one frame at a time. It works great and you can offset your audio track with all your hard-earned dialog cues. This will get your audio to be exactly where you want it for the start of your take, and your dialog cues will be in the correct spot on your X-Sheet.
I had to ask Dragon Stop how to do this, because I could not find it in the documentation.
Hope this helps you! I was happy to hear about it.
