to Stop Racist Human Skin Phobia
Hello.

This is a new group with only four members, currently, including
myself.

I set this group up because recently I finally got around to launching
the Stop Racist human Skin Phobia website.

I've just tweaked the events page http://stop-racist-human-skin-phobia.org/events.html
and created two YEARLY events

1. Bare Chest Day - 1st July
2. Underwear Day - 1st August

These days are intended to help people expose their skin in public
without worrying about possible police intervention due to full
nakedness. Bare Chest Day and Underwear Day also place more emphasis
on the issue of SKIN, hopefully circumventing the tendency of people
to focus on the genital aspect of Skin-Freedom.

Initially I think I said this group was only about actually organising
events but feel free to chat, if you want, while numbers are low.

Please feel free to publicise this group to any people who may be
interested in joining.

Hi Dimitri,

> It seems to me that education alone is not enough; educated
> people throughout history have not hesitated to commit awful crimes;

Unfortunately that is very true. I remember hearing on the old kid's
TV show "Record Breakers" that the man with the most 'A' levels or
highest IQ was in prison and his name was Arthur Prime. Though I
can't find any info on him on Google.

This is why Vincent does not like to label himself as a 'naturist' or
a 'nudist', even though he is given attention by the nudist media. I
believe whatever the mind can perceive it can achieve, no matter what
the circumstances are or what the odds are initially when they get
stacked against a person.

It is up to us to make it happen one step at a time. I organise the
World Naked Bike Ride in my town of Brisbane, and also want to
organise the World Naked Gardening Day as well as the Bare Chest day
and Underwear Day that Vincent has proposed (mind you the weather is
usually quite hot in Brisbane so a bare chested guy in public doesn't
get much attention but a bare chested female will even though she has
the same legal rights that a guy has).

Best wishes,

Dario Western

The idea with Bare Chest Day and Underwear day is to highlight how
Skin Freedom is a bigger issue than mere genitals. Some people get
hung-up on a genital fixation but Skin Freedom is a bigger issue than
mere genitals.

It may take a 3-6 years for these days to catch on, or they may never
catch on, but whatever happens I don't expect success overnight. The
best thing about these days is the decentralized aspect. No leaders
are required and no venue is required. People simply wear only their
underwear of go bare-chested wherever they are and what ever they are
doing.

Regarding Bare Chest Day I think the focus will be more of women
freely exposing their skin because currently women (and society) are
very chest phobic regarding uncovered female-chest-skin. Despite the
greater freedom men have regarding their chests, discrimination does
exist towards men baring their chest-skin in public: workplaces,
restaurants, and clothing stores are places where men (and women
regardless of chest-sexism) will be discriminated against if they
publicly bare their chest skin.

I won't be posting anymore for a long while but I am glad people are
starting to get interested in this group. See if you can drum up more
support via publicizing it on other forums.

Regards

Vincent
