Subject: Global Partners is withdrawing its ethanol train proposal

FYI, folks:

I’m forwarding a string of emails that, flavored with some excitement about being on the ‘win’ side of a ‘win/lose’ proposition, informs us that Global Partners is no longer considering moving ethanol trains to Revere.

Thanks so much to all of you who have helped Global to realize greater-Boston is not an appropriate route for their ethanol train proposal.

Should I learn more that is relevant, I will try to pass it on.

Thanks again.

Craig

PLEASE POST EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with Senator DiDomenico and he and Senators Petrucelli and Jehlen just met with Ed Faneuil of Global Oil who said THEY ARE WITHDRAWING THEIR PROPOSAL TO BRING ETHANOL TRAINS TO REVERE!!!!!!!!!  WE WON!!!!  WE WON!!!  WE WON!!!!!

Global has decided that we are too powerful and that the legislature has spoken and there is too much local opposition to continue. They will take their proposal from the DEP by tomorrow morning.  They said they are a “good company that doesn’t want to go against the wishes of the local community.”

Global specifically mentioned the successful organizing leadership of the Chelsea Creek Action Group!!!!!!!

CELEBRATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  CONGRATS AND GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!!
