I'm very confused. I have an old Acer chromebook (cb5-571) that is running chrome OS Flex now, with Mr Chromebox firmware. In the About ChromeOS page, there is no indication when does the support end, so I thought the support will simply go on forever.
Does this mean I can just keep updating Chrome OS Flex on this old chromebook forever? Besides losing Android (no touch screen so no big deal) I really haven't felt anything that is missing from this chromebook.
Hi, folks. This is Brandon. As I read from several articles, I understand that the flex-basis function is not supported well yet on every browser. However, I would like to ask you if any of you has the same problem as I have. So, according to Guil,
this should set the flex basis to zero automatically. Therefore, there shouldn't be a second line in the container; however, on my Google Chrome browser, moves down to the second line when the total width of the flex container is less than around 473px.
Check if you haven't got your flex-flow set to "nowrap" in your flex-container, otherwise if the content of the flex items are too large to be evenly distributed on one line and there for are wrapping to a new line.
If you want to give it a try yourself onto one of the expansion cards, boot the installer and then hit ctrl+alt+fn+f2 to get to the chrome shell.
Enter chronos as the username
cd /usr/sbin
sudo chromeos-install --dev /dev/sdXX where XX is whatever drive you want to install it on.
Wait and then reboot.
