Hello Everyone!

 

Just wanted to pass along the latest news and info regarding The Planet Purple gatherings at Good Life Inn in High Rolls.  Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone and everyone that you think may be interested.  We truly appreciate your support!

 

Our mission is to provide the Otero/Lincoln County LGBT community a safe, fun and cool place to relax , enjoy, meet, greet and hang!  With your continued support, this dream is becoming a reality, and for that, we thank you!

 

Good Life Inn is Off the Market!

 

We (the innkeepers) had such a great time at the last Planet Purple gathering, that we have decided to take the inn off of the market.  Your enthusiasm, energy and gratitude have rekindled our love of hospitality.  Plus, sometimes you have to let something go to realize how much you really love it, and that's exactly what happened to us.  We will have even more reasons to celebrate at the upcoming Masquerade Party! 

 

The Planet Purple will live on!!!!

 

 

 

Masquerade Party Deadline Approaching

 

The deadline to pay in advance for the October 27th Masquerade Party is October 25th.  The cover per person is $18 in advance and $22 at the door.  We'll be giving a gift certificate for a night's stay at the inn to the person with the best costume.  (But don't let the lack of a costume keep you from joining in the party! ) 

 

To pay in advance there are four easy options:

 

1. You can mail your payment to

Be sure to put the names of all attendees somewhere with your payment, that way we will have you on the list.

 

2. You are welcome to pay over the phone with a credit card, call us at 505-682-5433, if you are calling from the Tularosa Basin. You can also call us toll-free at 1-866-543-3466.

 

3. You can leave your payment with the cashier at the High Rolls General Store at 845 Hwy 82 (their number is 505-682-2955 if you need further directions or store hours). If you decide to pay at the High Rolls General Store, please put your check, cash or money order in an envelope and be sure to write "Good Life Inn" on the outside. Also, this is very important, BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE WHO WILL BE COMING EITHER IN THE ENVELOPE OR OUTSIDE.

 

4. Another payment option is to send your credit card number to us in an email (goodl...@aol.com). Again, be sure to tell us the names of the people who will be attending.

 

This event is being held on Friday, October 27th, 2006, from 7:00 pm until midnightish, possibly later. Food will be provided, as well as soft drinks, but BYOB.

Questionnaires Tallied

 

A BIG thank you to those who took the time to fill out the questionnaires from the first Planet Purple gathering!  They have been very helpful in assisting us with planning these events, and in bringing you what you want.  There was an even split between those who wanted the Planet Purple to meet on Fridays versus Saturdays.  So we are going to try to even it up, that way everyone can attend. 

 

First Yoga Group a Success!

 

Our first group of yoga practitioners met on October 10th at Good Life Inn.  It was a wonderful night!  There were over 10 people who came to the first class!  All levels are most welcome, so don't feel that you need to come to each and every class to reap the benefits of yoga.  Our instructor, Roxanne Montandon, takes every person's level of experience into account and adjusts the poses accordingly.  Those who attended felt relaxed, renewed and rejuvenated!   (FYI, Yoga is like getting a massage from the inside out, or, having a really good glass of wine!)

 

Nancy Scott Concert Cancelled

 

On a sad note, due to a family emergency, Nancy Scott will not be performing at Good Life Inn on November 3rd.  She does plan to reschedule, so stay tuned!  Also, we have lots of musicians who perform at the inn on a regular basis, so we will let you know of any upcoming shows.

 

 

 

Thank you again for your continued support!  We are looking forward to seeing you at the Masquerade Party!  (Rumor has it that the costumes are going to be spectacular! So even if you don't have a costume, come and enjoy the scenery!)
