Hello Everyone!
We are so excited about the response that we've had to the Planet Purple gatherings! Thank you all for your support and enthusiasm! If you know of ANYONE who might be interested in the Planet Purple gatherings, please forward this email to them. We truly appreciate your help in spreading the word. We could not do this without your support and we are so thankful for each and every one of you!
Thankful for Diversity Party November 18th
We're so thankful that we are here and we're queer! Let's get together and celebrate! If you feel moved, please bring non-perishable food items and/or a coat that you would like to donate. (We will pass these along to local charities.)
The cost is $15 in advance and $19 at the door. We will be serving light hors d'oeuvres from 7 - 9. BYOB. Soft drinks will be served. The event is from 7 pm until midnightish.
(Payment methods are included below.)
If you have dietary restrictions, please feel free to bring the dish of your choice.
Finally, if you plan to be here, even if you intend to pay at the door, please let us know, that way we can make sure we have enough food for everyone.
We have five easy ways for you to make your reservations in advance:
1. You can mail your payment to

PO Box 711
High Rolls, NM 88325
Be sure to put the names of all attendees somewhere with your payment, that way we will have you on the list.
2. You are welcome to pay over the phone with a credit card, call us at 505-682-5433, if you are calling from the Tularosa Basin. You can also call us toll-free at 1-866-543-3466.
3. You can leave your payment with the cashier at the High Rolls General Store at 845 Hwy 82 (their number is 505-682-2955 if you need further directions or store hours). If you decide to pay at the High Rolls General Store, please put your check, cash or money order in an envelope and be sure to write "Good Life Inn" on the outside. Also, this is very important, BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE NAMES OF THE PEOPLE WHO WILL BE COMING EITHER IN THE ENVELOPE OR OUTSIDE.
4. Another payment option is to send your credit card number to us in an email (goodl...@aol.com). Again, be sure to tell us the names of the people who will be attending.
5. If you have attended these events in the past and paid with a credit card and would like to pay with the same card, just let us know.
The Masquerade Party Was a Hoot!
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Masquerade Party! We had a ball!
There were so many fantastic costumes! Queen Elizabeth came in all of her finery
and won a night's stay at Good Life Inn.
The Queen's main squeeze, "Pimp Daddy," who wore a gorgeous electric blue sequined jacket and leopard-skin hat, performed an impromptu dance to Madonna's "Vogue."
We were all totally captivated by his innovative moves and choreography! (The fact that he was dancing for the prim and proper Queen of England made it even more fun!)
The costumes were just amazing! Thanks to everyone who participated (and to those who watched and cheered)!
If you didn't make it to the Masquerade Party, you missed some awesome costumes!
There were ~
four very sexy pirates, (one of whom kept boinking people with her sword!)
a glamorous witch,
a darling fetish fairy,
beautiful princesses,
majestic queens,
divas,
a dashing gangster (with a scary violin case!),
a "bag" lady,
a very tasty-looking "Marsha Mellow," and her handsome date,
grunge lesbian,
lipstick lesbian, and their friend,
Buddy Holly (as a lesbian),
the grim reaper,
a very convincing monk (complete with stigmata!),
the monk was even being persecuted by a Crusader,
a Disco Boy and
a Disco Girl,
a very beautiful and creative bag of fall leaves (you left early and we didn't get to vote for you, Girl!),
Marilyn Monroe, and,
her very sexy lipstick lesbian lover, sequined Cleo!
(Be sure to ask Marilyn and Cleo about their misadventures after the party! Marilyn placed second runner up in the costume party, we all loved those gorgeous nips, Girl!)
