Introductions!

So I'm new to the JET Programme and was very surprised to find that
out of 6,500 or so JETs, nearly all the LGBT ones appear to be hiding
in the inaka!

I feel like I'm the only bisexual in my area, I'm sure other JETs feel
this way too. Especially when we would love to go to all these
exciting sounding places in Tokyo and Osaka but can't. So introduce
yourselves please, who knows, some of us may be nearby!

My name is Lizzie, I'm from the UK and I live in Shimane-Ken, the
second least populated area of Japan! I love my time so far. I also
love music, movies and traveling.

So who else is in the group?

Hi Lizzie and all other rural JETs--

I'm also new to the JET program, from the U.S., and have been
sentenced to-- erm, placed in-- Tsushima, an island off of Kyushu,
slightly northwest of Fukuoka but technically part of Nagasaki-ken.
I'm loving it so far but the closest lesbian/bi JET I've heard from is
in Kumamoto... which is about the same distance as between Kyoto and
Hiroshima. (And, upon further map-consultation, Shimane-ken is
roughly the same distance away from me as Kumamoto. So, Lizzie, you
tie for next-closest!). C'mon, people! Kyushu represent! ... anyone
from Saga, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, or Yamaguchi ken?

... I like traveling, trying my hand at local crafts, onsen, and lots
of outdoor activities (kayaking, scuba diving, hiking, etc).

Hiya everyone!!

I'm also new and on an island!! I live on Sado in Niigata, its an
awesome place that many people over look for anyone who wants to
visit... Kim-I actually just got in from a trip to kyushu, its
beautiful down there, AND I have a friend on tsushima!!
As far as the introduction, I love to stay busy, be it traveling,
chatting about music or movies, adventuring around Japan/surrounding
areas, or playing/watching soccer. Oh, I'm going to be in Nagano for
the ALT soccer tourney on the 3rd/4th if anyone else is heading
down...
