A few announcements

Hello everyone,

Just a few important upcoming things I wanted to announce...

• As I mentioned to our musicians, new music is up on the Repertoire section of the website. Please print parts if you can, tell me if you can't, and bring them to rehearsal.  We're going to give holiday music a run-through and start looking at the pieces for the spring.

• This Saturday, October 6th, Stone Soup will have a booth at Hackettstown Community Day.  I need some volunteers to come by and take a shift at the table.  The event runs from 11am to 5pm in the Lowes parking lot on Mountain Avenue in Hackettstown.  I will be there early to set up.  If you are able to come by and relieve me for a time, please email me and let me know when you might be able to cover.  Even if you can't take a shift, come by and say Hello.  This is a good recruiting opportunity for the orchestra and really helps with name recognition.

• Wednesday Oct. 15th will be Stone Soup's Board of Directors elections.  We will end rehearsal a little early and hand out ballots.  If you want to run for any office and haven't already said so, please tell me and I will put you on the ballot.  That said, there ARE write-in slots for every office.  If you will not be able to attend on the 15th, members can fill out and return an absentee ballot either on paper or via email.  I guess the catch to the absentee ballot is that you lose your anonymity because you can only vote once.
