Welcome to the Stone Soup Symphony Banter group!

I have received many requests over time for a venue that Stone Soup Symphony members and fans could use to chat about unofficial things that may be of interest to fellow Stone Soup Members.  I have finally gotten around to creating this email list for that purpose.  To send an email to everyone else on the list, you can write to StoneSoupBanter@googlegroups.com

This does NOT replace the existing "official" email groups that are already in place. 
StoneSoupSymphony@googlegroups.com will continue to be the official way we distribute information about concerts, rehearsals, etc. to the orchestra members.  If you are an active member of Stone Soup Symphony, we STRONGLY recommend that you stay subscribed to this list.  It will NEVER be used for "spam". Only official messages from the orchestra management will be sent on this list. 
StoneSoupFans@googlegroups.com will continue to be the official way I distribute information to fans of the symphony.  This is used for announcing upcoming concerts and events to those who are not members 
of our orchestra, but like to come to our performances.  I would suggest that anyone who enjoys or supports the Stone Soup Symphony remain on this list.  Again, it will never be used for spam. Only official messages from the orchestra management will be sent on this list. 

StoneSoupBanter@googlegroups.com is NOT restricted to orchestra management and is intended as a social forum.  Any member of the group can send to the rest of the group.  This is your opportunity to share 
news, jokes, sell girl scout cookies, offer music lessons, announce a non-Stone Soup concert, or anything else you think is of interest to your fellow musicians. 

To help avoid spam, membership in the group is by invitation only. 
Someone who is already in the group must invite you to join.  If you want to invite someone to this banter group, you can do so by going to http://groups.google.com/group/stonesoupbanter 
It is entirely possible I missed someone who would like to be in this group.  Feel free to invite them, even if they are not Stone Soup members. 

If you feel you do not want to be on the banter list, you don't have to be. Feel free to unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of every email you are sent..  You will NOT miss important Stone Soup announcements by unsubscribing from this list.  Membership is OPTIONAL.

Group Rules: 
1) Remember that this is a family friendly group, so inappropriate posts and profanity will not be tolerated. 
2) This will not be a forum to argue.  No flame wars.  Debate is healthy. Insults are not. 
3) If things get out of hand, I reserve the right to moderate what gets posted or even shut the list down. 

I hope we can all enjoy this forum to become closer with our fellow musicians and friends.  Enjoy!
