Subject: Towson Area School Funding in FY 2013 Budget

I wanted to inform you that the County Executive's proposed FY 2013 budget includes funding to complete the addition at Stoneleigh Elementary School.  I am pleased that the County Executive has prioritized school improvements in the densely-populated and overcrowded York Road corridor, including funding to complete the Hampton Elementary School addition and the new Carver High School this year and advance the Mays Chapel Elementary School project.

 

I commend the County Executive for his support of these critical projects in the Towson area, and will strongly support them as the County Council considers the budget proposal.
