Dear Stoneleigh United members,

We have learned about a very important meeting next week!

On Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 5:30pm at Carver High School, BCPS will be holding a community forum to discuss possible scenarios and receive community feedback on the creation of an additional 700 elementary school seats in the Towson Area. These seats are in addition to the planned Mays Chapel Elementary School.  The hundreds of new seats being created to address overcrowding will require that several of our Towson elementary schools go through the redistricting process.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE GREATER TOWSON COMMUNITY AT LARGE BE PRESENT FOR THIS MEETING. THIS IS OUR OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT OUR SCHOOL’S FUTURE CATCHMENT, POSSIBLE LOCATIONS FOR 700 NEW SEATS IN THE TOWSON AREA AND MORE…

We know that overcrowding needs to be fully and properly addressed and that our almost complete renovation and addition is only one part of the solution.

Redistricting, further new construction and the overcrowding effects on our elementary and middle schools are all in our collective future.  Let’s be heard and take a seat at the table.

Hope to see you there!
