We are setting up a new stone edge system...

I have a fundamental question that I am trying to get an answer to.

Frequently, 2-5 times per day, we have to modify a yahoo web order and then perform a second capture on the customers' credit card.
We have setup a second payment gateway in seom for manual orders but it seems that seom doesn't want to use this second gateway for a second transaction on an order that has come through the web.

When we try to do a second sale transaction for a yahoo web order seom says "declined: a sale is already requested for this order".  It seems to me that seom would try to use our second payment gateway that we setup in seom for manual orders to do this transaction?

We are struggling to find an answer of how we can do this in seom as with our current setup in seom it is not allowing us to process another credit card transaction for a web order.

How do others handle making a second transaction on a yahoo web order?

Thanks for any suggestions

We find we can make 1 additional charge through Yahoo as the gateway. I think the first 24 hours until your batch processes, you can't charge anything else. You will have to wait until after that to process the payment. But it will only give you 1 credit / charge to the card after that. It will decline any future attempts.

We are setup the same way.

(ADVANCED WORKAROUND) We found if you go in to your order details table and change the order type from YS to MO it will then use your gatetway and not try Yahoo's gateway. You can then change it back to YS for tracking purposes. Only do this if you are familiar with working in the tables though.

We were having the same issue and found out that if the payment info was on “web/Mail” we would get the error. If we changed that then it could go through. An interesting side note that we just changed to v 7.050 and it seems to now be working without making the change on the Web/Mail.
