We are running Stone Edge on an SQL server, has anyone user used NIC Card Teaming with Stone Edge and how does it perform once you make the change. The server i am running Stone Edge on is the old reliable Dell R710 with 4 Ethernet ports and of course I am only using one. I am just curiouse if there is a performance increase. We potentially have 8 people all hitting the DB at one time. Thank in advance for any information in this subject

We team all of our servers so that they can have redundant connections to our LAN. While technically teaming would aggregate the connections providing more bandwidth between the server and the switch or switches it is connected to, in practical terms, at your level - it is unlikely you will see a noticeable performance increase as it is unlikely that the network connection is the slow step. Nonetheless, I would recommend teaming at least two NICs and plugging them into different switches (if you have more than one) for fail-over and redundancy purposes.
