Fedex Shiprush print speed

Shiprush for Fedex has become super slow for us in printing postage, on the order of 17 secs or so per label. We're using SE 7.024 and current Shiprush. We need to get this down to 5 secs or find a different solution, acknowledging that could be SE 7.7 with integrated shipping. Any ideas?
