Dear Deborah,
The "Chinese Abacus Math Workshop" taking place at Stonebrae is right
around the corner on this coming Thursday, 12/13/12, from 3;20 pm to 4;20
pm. This exciting workshop will include:
1. PPT introduction of the Chinese abacus and its many benefits,
2. Student demonstration for using an abacus to solve math computation
problems, and
3. Hands-on activity - making a miniature abacus (photos attached).
As the date approaches, is it possible for you to send a friendly reminder
to Stonebrae families and encourage them to attend this workshop? Two
photos of the miniature abacus were attached by courtesy of the CAAA for
your reference. Hopefully, it can be sent out with the reminder.
Again, thank you so much for your time and support.
Thanks,
Diana
