For several months I have periodically put an old photos on the ‘home’ page and let it search. Up until recently the search sequence never stopped until I stopped it. Today, the search sequence stopped and immediately identified a nikon camera  which unfortunately has the same ser. no. but is a different model (mod. D2X). This particular camera always showed up on the dashboard if I clicked on search, but has never showed up on search using a photo.

The ‘other’ camera was stolen in 2010, I assume, mine however was stolen this year, in March.

I guess what I asking is;
    • why all of a sudden is this  ‘other’ camera stopping the photo search when it didn’t before?, and,
    • can this ‘other’ camera be somehow excluded from the search?
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Sorry for the delay replying (I've been on holiday).
Search results should always appear instantly. I recently found a bug with certain photos and only on certain versions of Internet Explorer that prevented the results from appearing when using the drag and drop search feature which I have now fixed. I imagine this is why you are now seeing instant results.

When using an image to perform a search, I wouldn't expect a search result to appear that was taken with a different model. Using an image should mean that only sightings with the same serial and make and model. Are you able to send me the photo so that I can take a look at what's happening?
