An acquaintance of mine who is not a bike/rando nerd recently acquired a Rawland Stag with a nice randonneur-style build at a flea market in Marin for a suspiciously low price. They just wanted to find a bike to commute on, and had asked me for advice on changing some of the parts out. I explained why I believed the bike was stolen and they are amenable to me doing some searching around on their behalf.

They said it had cobwebs all over it when they bought it so I think it was unlikely to have been stolen recently (unless the real owner had left it stored in a shed/garage for a while before it was stolen) We have the serial number and it hasn't turned up any results so far in our searching.

Feel free to share with your riding friends/social circles. Please get in touch if you are the owner or recognize this bike. Bike will be reunited with proper owner given sufficient proof!

It's hard to say because a lot of the parts are different, but this could be my 58cm stag that I lost at burning man in 2017. It had a distinctive ding on the top tube and a conspicuous assortment of IRD parts. I don't particularly want it back if somebody is putting it to good use, but I would be interested to know what happened to it.
