Supporting communities in influencing and challenging planning policy project - Hackney
Dear tenant / community group
Please find attached a model response that you might submit to the LLDC’s Local Plan consultation. All you would need to do is to save the document to your computer, add your name and address at the bottom and email to plannin...@londonlegacy.co.uk
Please feel free to send as it is or amend as you see fit.
The deadline for sending responses is officially 5pm Friday 7th Feb, but the LLDC planning team have advised us that they are fine to receive responses prior to 9am on Monday 10th Feb.
As well as general points picked up on from the meeting we organised in Newham on 16th Jan, which some of you attended, the response includes some specific issues relating to the Carpenters Estate (Newham) – which we assume other groups would want to support.
We feel it important the key issues are picked up now and prior to the last consultation on the Local Plan which will be held later this year. At the Examination in Public the LLDC will have to show how they have taken into account issues raised in consultations.
NB for those of you that are particularly interested in environmental issues, the Natural Environment section of the draft LLDC Local Plan is pages 102 – 125 (http://www.londonlegacy.co.uk/media/LLDC_Local-Plan-Consultation-Document2.pdf) You may wish at the very least to ensure that the table on local open space pages 119-122 includes spaces in the Hackney part of the LLDC that you are interested in / want to ensure are protected.
Best wishes
