Hi Suzy
No it doesn't work like that - we can only have one person speak for 5
minutes - or 5 people speak for 1 minute (which would be silly). It is
best to leave it to one person and I think Nick would be the best person
to do that given his wonderful report
best wishes
Jane

Do you mean that there are only 5 mins available for all the people who'd like to speak? Or 5 mins per 'interested party', counting Stokey Local campaign as one party?

Will there be an opportunity to speak for people who have commented as private individuals rather than as part of a campaign?

Cheers
Kirsten

Let's cross this bridge if and when we get that far. I am hoping we wont! I'm also not sure this email list has an audience any more.

But for the record, it's five minutes shared between ALL objectors*.

Any elected Hackney Councillors who wish to object get their own five minutes each (at the discretion of the chair) that they can't share.

*This most certainly wont affect us, but it's actually a little more complicated than than because each side gets the same amount of time in total. For instance if the applicant convinces a single Councillor to support them and the objectors didn't, the objectors would get a collective ten minutes to share between them. This happened this month on King's Crescent. I made an emotional 26 second speech. Again, all at the Chair's discretion.

Nick
