Dear Kirsten, Over the next few weeks, doctors will decide on the future of the NHS in City and Hackney. Hundreds of 38 Degrees members near you have already signed the local petition, urging doctors to protect it from profit hungry private companies like Serco and Virgin Care. [1] But the doctors in charge will already be coming under huge pressure from big companies, keen to make money from the government's NHS changes. We need to act fast, to make sure they know their local patients want them to protect the NHS. If lots of us get together and take our message to local Clinical Commissioning Groups - the group of doctors making the decisions - we can make sure they know when they stand up for the NHS, they've got thousands of us supporting them. Can you organise a get-together of 38 Degrees members in your area to plan for taking our petition to doctors on City and Hackney CCG? We need to move quickly - so ideally these get-togethers should be held as soon as possible. Can you organise one in City and Hackney?
