Folks –

As we prepare for the penultimate game of the season the forecast for gameday is zero chance of precipitation, which is fortunate because I have exhausted my supply of euphemisms for rain. Thanks to everyone for bearing with us as the weather deteriorated last week, and a special thanks to Andrew Auerbach and the Earthquakers for rescuing the goals from Tubman.

A couple of program notes:

·         Many teams have not yet picked up their end-of-season awards from my porch. Please try to come by this weekend. The address is 5066 Sherier Place NW.

·         On November 19 we will be offering makeup games. If you would like to play, I need to know by this Wednesday, November 9, so that I can arrange for fields and referees.

Tubman:  First game is   Sacred Heart Padawans vs. Orange Crush at 8:30 AM. Orange Crush will bring the goals,  Padawans should be prepared to help assemble the goals for an 8:30 kickoff.  Final game is 3:30 PM, Rangers vs. Jaguars. Rangers are responsible for checking the field for trash, Jaguars are responsible for locking the field and returning the goals to the porch at 5066 Sherier Place NW. The key for the lock is on a white string tied to one of the goal cases. The gate we are responsible for locking is on the northwest corner of the field (Kenyon Street side, leading into the parking lot).

When disassembling the goals, please note that the bars on the base telescope in. If you slide them out it is quite difficult to get them back together again.

If you are playing at Tubman please remind your parents to leave nothing of value in their cars.

Ft Reno: First game is at 8:30 AM, Falcons vs. Red Devils.  Falcons will bring the goals.  Red Devils should be prepared to help assemble the goals for an 8:30 kickoff.  Final game is at 1:30 PM, Comets United vs. All-stars United. All-stars U are responsible for checking the field for trash, Comets U are responsible for returning the goals to 3901 Military Road NW, which is a Brownish-gray house on northwest corner of 39th Street and Military Rd (no house number).  Leave the goals along the side of the driveway, which is on 39th Street.  These goals are almost eight feet long and will require a minivan or large SUV to transport.

Mann: GU10 has first game will handle setup. Eagles vs. Wanderers are the last game at 4:00. Please check the field for garbage.

North Chevy Chase: GU10 has first game and will handle setup. Final game is at 12:30 PM, Tigers vs. EL Haynes Sharks. Please put the folding goals away behind the baseball backstop. Please check the field for garbage.
