Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-Atlas)

All,

This comet is estimated to be bright and visible between Sept 20 to Nov 16 peaking in brightness (possible -3.0 magnitude) around Oct 12.  The link below is a video discussing it quite well.  I thought I would share so if interested, you can start planning your observations.

Imaged with Dwarf ii camera in Tracy Ca. 
99 Images, 15 Sec each, 80 Gain

Included in the view are NGC 4142 (upper right)and NGC 4116 (mid right)
The bright star at the bottom of the image is Spica.
RA/Dec of the image 12h, 11m, 3.00s +2, 20, 24

Very nice indeed.  You should be well prepared to image it again if/when it brightens up.
