Soul Nebula

While I was out at hwy 4 with Jeff this past Saturday, I collected some data on the Soul Nebula (ic 1848) using an Optolong light pollution filter. Then last night in my light polluted back yard, I collected additional data on the same target with a Ha/H-beta/Oiii filter. I'd never used these filters before, so didn't know what to expect. The only camera I had to use that somewhat efficiently collects Ha is a super old modified Canon 300D, which is only 6.3 Mp and has terrible amp glow. Nevertheless, I was able to collect a total of 140 x 120s images to stack and process (final image attached). No guiding, just tracked on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer 2. I used a William Optics Z61 as the imaging scope. Can't wait to get a dedicated astro cam in the near future.
