Friday night was fairly nice out at Hwy 4. I'm glad Tim showed up to keep me company! I was able to get some decent testing done with my little z61. The field flattener seems nearly perfect for that scope. I went galaxy hunting and took three sets of 45 second images on Bode's Nebula, the Needle Galaxy and Markarian's Chain. I haven't processed them all yet, but here's what I've done with Markarian's Chain. It's 60 x 45 sec unguided. I'd really like to spend more time with this subject. There are SO many galaxies!

Hopefully the next new moon will offer clearer skies.
