I am in Strawberry now.

There are huge dark cumulus running south at high speeds.

It is windy and I bet it will rain again later.

Yeah....

Not a night for Astronomy in the Sierras.

A good night to have pot roast, wine and a warm fire in the Sierras

I thought the bad weather and astronomy thing was a joke, but with my telescope arriving then not more than just 5 hours later clouds roll in, i can't help but wonder if it wasn't planned this entire time..also important question, is it okay to store my telescope in the garage? I haven't been able to find any information definitive with temperatures it can handle.

Storing your telescope in the garage is quite common. Since the temperatures vary wildly in garages, you may consider putting silica gel packs in your scope containment system. I keep my scope in a trailer in my driveway, so it gets extremely cold in the winter, and really hot in the summer, my trailer cooks the scope. But it’s too big to go anywhere else, so that’s that.

Hey Bill...Eric missed the goofy face emoji you used to denote "farce".....

It looked so much like your usual face<;-)

It was 46F inside the cabin this morning when I got up to start the fire before 8...28F outside on the porch.....

I have a small 40' fir that died and needs to become firewood .....INSIDE.

I will get it down in the Spring.
