Hi,

The tool can be used to track any asset listed on finance.yahoo.com

Here's the answer to each of your question:

1.       Can I update the data live

The application allows you to update your portfolio with the latest values provided by Yahoo (which is not real time).

2.       Can I report Asset Allocation by Sector

Yes you can, but the sectors are strictly used as "tags". You must assign the sector yourself to each stock, which then gives you the opportunity to apply filtering.

3.       Can I track Sector performance vs my sector portfolio

No... The sectors in the application are not related to the actual sectors in the market; they are not linked together whatsoever.

4.       Is there any further Tech support

Not really. I'm just a "one guy", who also happen to work more hours then there are in a day ;)

The tool is open source and anyone is welcome to contribute.

Unfortunately, in the past year I haven't got the time to contribute to the project at all. Hopefully, in the upcoming months I will have some time to work on it..

5.       Are there any charges?? Or it is free

Free and open source!

6.       Any (Canadian) tax information

Nope.

Regards,

Alex
