The concept of home automation has been around for some time but was generally limited to very high end homes. The costs were prohibitive primarily due to the requirement that most systems were either proprietary and/or required extensive wiring.

Energy Management
Heating and cooling is the largest cost of our energy bill, followed by lighting. Smart thermostats that sense how we live and adjust automatically can correspond to significant savings. Dimming your lights to 50%, not only saves 40% of the energy used, but it also increases the life of the light bulbs by over 10 times and keep them out of the landfills.
Our smart lighting systems can be set to turn the lights on at a preset level such as 60-70%. In most cases, this will provide sufficient lighting. The light levels can be increased or decreased either from the switch itself or from the touch screen control systems.
The smart thermostats learn heating and cooling patterns for maximum efficiency and comfort. Load control modules control energy us in high wattage loads like pool pumps, electric water heaters, and air conditioner compressors.
