NASCAR’S BIGGEST STARS AND THE U.S. NAVY JOIN FORCES FOR A NEW MINI FILM, STREAMING ON PRIME VIDEO AHEAD OF THE HISTORIC SAN DIEGO RACE
 
  • NASCAR, in collaboration with Concept80, is producing a 30-minute, scripted mini film that expands on the momentum of its San Diego launch announcement — this time bringing fans inside the gates for the first-ever Race the Base.
 
  • The new mini film premieres on Prime Video on June 5, ahead of the historic NASCAR on Prime race in San Diego on June 21
 
  • Picking up where the San Diego launch announcement left off, the story begins with NASCAR drivers being called to base—not to prove themselves, but to help the Navy prepare for the inaugural Race the Base. But when the drivers arrive, they’re met by a squadron of elite hot shot pilots who aren’t exactly thrilled about their runway being transformed into a racetrack. To earn the pilots’ respect and ensure the event can move forward, the drivers and sailors go head-to-head in a series of intense and entertaining challenges. What follows is a cinematic, high-energy, and unexpectedly authentic journey as the drivers immerse themselves in Navy life—from building the track and testing equipment to trading skills, rivalries, and hard-earned camaraderie along the way. Worlds collide in ways that are intense, humorous, and undeniably powerful.
