#22-Joey Logano won the Window World 450 NASCAR Cup Series race at North Wilkesboro Speedway in NASCAR’s first points race at the track in thirty years. The win is his first win of the year, first at North Wilkesboro and 38th career win.
#11-Denny Hamlin finished 2nd followed by #19-Chase Briscoe, #54-Ty Gibbs, #97-Shane van Gisbergen, #23-Bubba Wallace, #6-Brad Keselowski, #34-Todd Gilliland, #7-Daniel Suarez, and #60-Ryan Preece.
Pole sitter #12-Ryan Blaney had to start from the rear after the team found a power steering problem prior to the race. He charged back through the field but was caught speeding on pit road with less than 100 laps remaining. He finished 11th.
Logano dominated the race, leading 323 of the 450 laps. There were only six drivers on the lead lap at the finish.
Stage 1 was won by #54-Ty Gibbs. Stage 2 was won by #22-Joey Logano.
The fastest lap bonus was earned by #1-Ross Chastain.
There were 17 lead changes among 9 drivers and 5 cautions for 43 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 88.397mph.

Cup Series: It’s been an atypically quiet season for NASCAR’s typical even-year protagonist, Joey Logano. But the three-time champion and his No. 22 Team Penske group bounced back into form Sunday night in Wilkes County.
In NASCAR’s points racing return to North Wilkesboro Speedway, Logano delivered a beatdown that lines up well with the track’s history.

Joey Logano entered Sunday night’s Cup race outside of the provisional postseason grid. He emerged from it with a 73-point haul that’s shifted him to the right side of the Chase field. Logano now sits 15th with 511 points, 49 points clear of Erik Jones in
17th.
Five points ahead of Logano now lies Shane van Gisbergen, whose Chase qualifying demise appears to have been greatly exaggerated after his crash out in San Diego.
