Formula 1: The championship picture became a bit clearer over the weekend, as McLaren’s Lando Norris delivered a weekend sweep that has the title within sight with only three grands prix remaining.
The Briton started the weekend off with a championship-extending Sprint win. He followed that with a dramatic pole run on Saturday afternoon, then delivered a clutch victory on Sunday to push himself firmly into the championship advantage. (Formula1.com (x2))

It’s just the sixth time he’s crossed 1,000 laps led in his Cup career and the first time it’s happened since he led a career-high 1,502 laps in 2021 - a total bolstered by the 783 laps he paced between four races at Richmond Raceway and Martinsville Speedway. In a true show of how NASCAR can differ from other motorsports, he failed to win any of those races.

Remaining races: The Las Vegas Grand Prix is in two weeks (Nov. 22), followed by the Qatar Grand Prix (Nov. 30) and the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (Dec. 7).
