#9-Grant Enfinger won the LiUNA 150 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Lime Rock Park. The win is his first at Lime Rock, first of the season, and the 13th win of his career.
The win boosted Enfinger into the top-10 in the point standings with just four races remaining before the cutoff.
#42-Landen Lewis, #11-Kaden Honeycutt, #77-Parker Kligerman, #91-Christian Eckes, #19-Daniel Hemric, #44-Andres Perez de Lara, #15-Tanner Gray, #52-Stewart Friesen, and #25-Colin Braun closed out the top-10.
Enfinger got the lead following a restart three laps from the finish. The event had plenty of carnage, with some of the run-ins not even pulling a caution flag around the 1.478-mile road course.
There were nine lead changes among six drivers and seven caution flags for 39 yellow flag laps. There was also an extended red flag period for track cleanup.
The average speed of the race was: 57.929mph.

Pato O’Ward asks to end F1 duties, focusing on IndyCar future (IndyCar)
Pato O’Ward was a shining prospect of the Road to Indy ladder system that has emerged into one of the NTT IndyCar Series’ biggest modern stars.
And here’s the good news for IndyCar: He doesn’t intend to leave the tour anytime soon.
O’Ward has found himself engaged in light Formula 1 chatter over the years, having established himself as a talented driver with clear dreams of racing in the tour during his younger days.
After claiming the 2018 Indy Lights (now Indy NXT) championship, the Mexican star was briefly signed to the Red Bull Junior team and made starts in both Formula 2 and Super Formula while competing part-time in IndyCar. But missing the necessary Super License points to progress from there, O’Ward ultimately left the program and returned to IndyCar for a full-time drive with Arrow McLaren.
In the years since, O’Ward has made sporadic appearances in the F1 paddock. He’s served as a McLaren reserve driver and made five FP1 appearances for the team in Abu Dhabi (three times) and Mexico (twice), along with four appearances in Abu Dhabi’s postseason testing.
But after many years on that path - and amid what’s developed into a consistent, winning IndyCar career while F1 itself is racing a controversial rules package lambasted by many drivers - O’Ward’s priorities have shifted.
Making an appearance on Dirty Mo Media’s “Speed Street” podcast with Conor Daly, the 27-year-old admitted that he’s “politely asked to be fired” from his F1 career.
“I’m grateful for the experiences and all the things that I’ve been able to learn in the world of Formula 1,” O’Ward said. “And obviously, driving those race cars, especially the last few years, has been just an amazing experience just to feel what they’re capable of.
“But I really think I’m just in a different point of my life now and I really don’t care anymore. There’s really nothing in me that is aching to keep on as a reserve in Formula 1 because I’m in a great place in IndyCar.
“I love the series. That’s where I want to be.”
O’Ward confirmed that he’d talked to McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown about the decision and admitted he didn’t get excited to drive the current F1 cars.
“I think goals can change as life goes on, as you experience,” O’Ward said. “And I think my experience and just being able to see how that world works, and then also getting to experience what the IndyCar world is like, even in a more personal level, because I am more involved in it. Man, IndyCar is the best place for motor racing. I think many others can have a different opinion, but for me, that’s where I’m happy.
“I don’t need to be more famous. I don’t need more money. I’m already in a position that I never thought I was ever going to be when I was younger. I’m very lucky. I’m very grateful to be where I’m at today. And it really is a privilege to be able to race and experience what it is like to be in IndyCar and to be an IndyCar driver.
“Because I know F1 is put on a pedestal, but just because the plate looks like gold doesn’t mean what you’re eating is healthier for you.”

Toyota plans to enter hydrogen-power car in the Dakar Rally (Rally)
The company announced plans to field the car, named the DKR GR FC Hilux, in the iconic rally on Thursday, It’ll be submitted into the Dakar Future Mission 1000 class, a section reserved for experimental and new technologies. Toyota will also enter its standard DKR Hilux in the Ultimate class.
Work is already underway for the effort. Toyota claimed to have begun testing the fuel cell electric vehicle powertrain a Belgium, with plans for a full testing program in the months ahead. By running the new technology in the punishing Dakar Rally, Toyota hopes to stress test the equipment and gain insight it can use on “the wider application of fuel cell technology in passenger cars, trucks, buses, trains, marine applications, race cars and stationary power generators.”
This move aligns with Toyota’s strategic racing efforts in recent years. Led by chairman Akio Toyoda, the Japanese brand began using hydrogen technology in the Super Taikyu series with Rookie Racing in 2021. The brand has completed demo runs in everything from the World Rally Championship to the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe, home of the Le Mans 24 Hours.
What makes the Dakar Rally effort stand apart is the fuel cell technology. I’m not a car expert, so allow Motorsport’s Rachit Thukral to explain:
“The DKR GR FC Hilux marks the first time Toyota has employed fuel cell technology in motorsport.
“Instead of burning hydrogen inside a combustion chamber, the fuel cell combines hydrogen with oxygen to generate electricity, which then powers an electric motor.
“As a result, the DKR GR FC Hilux produces no carbon dioxide at the tailpipe, with water its only direct emission.”
The Dakar Rally is set to take place in Saudi Arabia on Jan. 1 through Jan. 15, 2027.

KCMG to split Super Formula ride between two drivers at Fuji (Super Formula)
Sports car racing aside, have you ever seen two drivers intentionally split the same ride for separate races in one race weekend?
Next weekend in Super Formula, that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
The lead driver for the weekend will be Giuliano Alesi, son of ex-Formula 1 driver Jean Alesi. He’ll be the focus of the weekend and race in both the sixth and seventh rounds of the season.
It’ll be his first return to the series since his midseason exit from the TOM’S team during the 2023 season. Alesi has generally focused on Super GT and Super Taikyu since his departure, while also making sports car starts including the Le Mans 24 Hours and Nurburgring 24 Hours.
The unique twist for this weekend will come on Sunday, when Seita Nonaka takes to the car for a 25-lap sprint race. Nonaka is being offered the ride because the race itself is a replacement for a canceled round at Autopolis. The Japanese driver qualified the car for that race, so the team is honoring its plan to field him in it.
The entire situation has arisen because of Kalle Rovanpera’s exit. The former FIA World Rally Championship frontrunner planned to contest the Super Formula season in the first steps of a hopeful rise to Formula 1, but had to withdraw from the bulk of the year with illness in March.
Rovanpera has spent the past four months focused on recovery after being diagnosed with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo - a condition that can affect both balance and vision. He resumed physical training in June and is planning a “phased return to driving,” with hopes for a 2027 return to competitive racing.
