#97-Shane Van Gisbergen won the Toyota / Save Mart 350 NASCAR Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway. The win is his second win of the year, second at Sonoma and eighth career win.
#19-Chase Briscoe finished 2nd followed by pole winner #54-Ty Gibbs, #5-Kyle Larson, #20-Christopher Bell, #12-Ryan Blaney, #88-Connor Zilisch, #60-Ryan Preece, #71-Michael McDowell, and #48-Alex Bowman.
van Gisbergen started the race in sixth and stayed near the front of the field all day. He flipped the stages by pitting just before the end of the first two. He took the lead for the final time with 22 laps remaining and held off several hard charges by Briscoe to win by just .3 second.
Stages 1 & 2 were both won by #54-Ty Gibbs.

Cup Series: Shane van Gisbergen won again in the Cup Series road course race, but at least he had to earn it this time.
The Kiwi marched his way forward to challenge for the lead in Stage 1 and controlled the bulk of the final two stages. From there the event seemed fully in his control, but Chase Briscoe closed up to his rear bumper in the closing laps.
That added drama to the race’s final stretch, but in the end van Gisbergen survived to earn a much-needed win and re-enter the provisional playoff grid. (Reid Spencer / NASCAR.com)
