For those of you who don't know the New Enterprise Intensive Scheme is
a government program to help start up small businesses. I submitted a
proposal to make a small game development studio, and be small I mean
just me and a few contracted artists, and it was accepted! Over the
past 2 months I've been doing a small business corse and have hardly
worked on my game at all! It's a really condensed coarse and I didn't
have much time for anything else.
So I'm not really sure if I'm ahead or behind, on one hand I now have
a grant witch means I can work full time on my game but quite a bit of
time has already elapsed.

First, I was told that I had to be getting some kind of Centrelink
benefit before I'd be eligible for NEIS.
Second, my wife earns too much money for me to get any kind of
Centrelink benefit.
Which is a shame because I had a business plan all lined up, and I was
really looking forward to the chance of starting up Vulpinoid Studios
as a "legitimate business" rather than just a side hobby.
If you've managed to complete the course and have a NEIS business plan
underway, then that most certainly counts as half the battle won in my
books.
Congratulations.
