After receiving a strike for violating an eBay policy, we’ve decided to temporarily shut the door, close shop, keep quiet. This is a priority– opening back up– it has been from the start– eBay! We want to be an eBay band. We will be back, and there will be plenty to buy. I promise, and so does Jordan– and Levi– and Charlotte.
It’s true! The good news– Charlotte Leung has accepted a position in the band: saxophone, etc. Whatever she wishes. She’s one of us now. ‘Stnic’-- our little other world.
More good news– we signed a record deal!
‘North Sounds’: a humble label out of St. Paul, Minnesota. Shawn, the executive we dealt with, was incredibly kind and professional. He’d caught the second half of our Englert performance, and thought what we were doing was very interesting– a little too ‘Blue Man Group’, but good.
Not only did he assure us the world would hear our ‘songs’ on vinyl someday, but he also booked us two gigs– in Portland, Oregon. He said our ‘spirit’ would be especially understood and appreciated in the Pacific Northwest.
We took the train. This allowed us to pack a lot. Over the 76 hours on rail (we took it both ways), we generated lots of ideas– and we executed some, too. You’ll see!
In Portland, we played ‘Swan Dive’ and ‘Foxtrot’. Both gigs went well. Really well! And our chemistry is good, despite the extended time of close proximity.
*SHOW ALERT*
We’re back in Iowa City and gearing up for another performance– another chance for us to prove ourselves– not to you, but to those that don’t quite ‘get it’... We’ll send out a flyer with the details when we get them. Here’s what we know: Monday, 3/31/25, at 7:30pm, at the recital hall in the Voxman Music Building. Yup.
