Stations of the Cross & Simple Lenten Supper

Laetare Vespers
Sunday, March 15 – 4:00 PM – Cathedral
The Schola Cantorum of St Matthew’s Cathedral will present the Office of Vespers for Laetare Sunday, the Fourth Sunday of Lent, March 15 at 4pm.The Office will be sung entirely in Latin, in Gregorian chant and polyphony. The annual celebration of Gregorian Vespers is one of the most beloved musical events at the Cathedral each year!

This month's discussion was rescheduled for the 19th due to winter weather! We will be discussing the papal encyclical Evangeli Nuntiandi (On Evangelization in the Modern World) by Pope Paul VI. No prior knowledge of the encyclical is required, we look forward to seeing you for a lively discussion!

C†YA Lenten Afternoon of Reflection

Join us for an afternoon to focus and guide your Lenten preparations as we draw closer to Holy Week. Fr. Colm Mannion, an Irish Dominican priest, will lead us in our reflection and hear confessions. The mission of the Cathedral young adult ministry is to support the community of Catholic adults in their 20’s and 30’s who live and work in DC in the continued growth of their faith, discernment of their vocations, and development as stewards of the Church through opportunities for socializing, community service and spiritual reflection.
