Hello All,
I trust you all are well and ready to return to the utopia known as law school. J Due to schedule conflicts we have moved the River/Lake party to Saturday, August 30. It will be an all day affair. Food, drink, swimming pool, boat and tubes will be provided, but if you would rather use your own special vessel, please feel free to bring it along. I have procured the location and facilities, Chad Eaton has stepped up and volunteered to do the cooking, now we need others to take care of buying the food and drinks and arranging for the music or any other entertainment that ya’ll would like. Please email me and let me know how you will be able to help make this happen. All are welcome, so please feel free to bring family, friends or invite anyone else you believe would be interested in restorative justice or who you think would like to relax floating down the Guadalupe, spending and afternoon skiing on Canyon Lake or just chillin’ in the shade of a giant Cyprus tree. Please reply to this email and RSVP so we can plan for food and drinks. I’ll send out detailed directions to the river site to all those who reply.
We will also hold a RJI organizational meeting during the party and the reins to RJI will be officially handed over to the new leadership, so please plan to attend. There will also be some teachers and administrators at the party who will be working with us in the Comal ISD school project. This will be a great opportunity to meet them and become familiar with their classroom arrangements and needs.
Here’s a link to some pics of the area where we will be partying: http://www.canyonlakeguide.com/pictures_videos/index.htm
I’m excited about this upcoming year and the great opportunities for RJI. I hope to see you all on the 30th.
