Subject: A good word to start the
day
I just read this quote in a daily reader. It reminds me of Bridges To Life volunteers.
The real hero may not be on a movie screen but in your mirror. Morgan Freeman who plays God in the movie "Bruce Almighty" told Jim Carey who played Bruce Almighty, "Parting soup is not a miracle Bruce. It's a magic trick. A single mom who is working two jobs and still finds time to take her kid to soccer practice, that's a miracle. A teenager who says no to drugs and yes to an education, that's a miracle. God is more interested in changed lives than in newspaper headlines."
Thank you for all you have done to help change lives through the work of Bridges To Life. Your efforts have helped us grow and this process will help many more in the future. We are now working in 25 Texas prisons, and several more in other states. We celebrated our 6,000th graduate this week. Recently, some experienced prison volunteers in Australia purchased our books and started using the BTL curriculum, so I guess our little Texas group has now gone international. God has abundantly blessed BTL.
Have a great weekend.
