Here are three upcoming events with links to environmental and social justice:

1) Honoring Martin Luther King Jr, 15 January at 10.30am at Veterans Memorial Theatre, Davis:

"The City of Davis and the Human Relations Commission invites the public to attend the 30th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Monday, Jan. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Theatre, located at 203 East 14th Street in Davis. Doors will open at 10 a.m. before this free community celebration begins at 10:30 a.m. with music and speakers to help commemorate Dr. King’s legacy in civil rights, peace and non-violence. The theme of this year’s event is “Peace Activism". Bookmark this live stream produced by Davis Media Access to watch live."

2) Vigil for Peace in Gaza, 18 January from 5-6pm, Central Park Stage, Davis

3) Rumi's Caravan, a fundraising poetry event for Grace Garden on 21 January from 7-9pm at Veterans Memorial Center, Davis. Contributions will support the work of Grace Garden, an amazing all-volunteer organization (including a number of St Martin's parishioners), that grows beautiful organic fruits and vegetables to help food-insecure community members.
