and I feel that "flash" is a name too genuine. In the article above, st-flash
is used. Any other ideas/wishes?

stflash or even tflash (texane flash, also the t-prefix isn't very common in
projects these days, so it is good for tab-complete :)
on irc a few months ago some of the proposals were, (from memory)

Those were proposals for the project though, rather than just the flash tool.
