This week saw new donations continuing, and another three-year
sponsorship, by Peltz Insurance Services. Thank you!

* StM FUND = $53,721 (goal was $50,000)
* SPONSORS = 10, totaling $13,250 annually (goal is $25,000)
* BOARD MEMBERS = 18 (goal was 16)

Thanks also to those who have already made their pledge payment: we
have so far collected over 50% of the pledged StM amount. One person
even quadrupled her original pledge when making her payment! We do
need all the pledged funds ASAP, and are using the money as soon as
it comes in, paying off our short-term bills and making payments to
the landlord for our current and back-rent debt.

Most of our energy is now focused on getting the "new Met" organized
and functioning better, as well as running the many fundraising
events planned for September:

The trial run of the Met U-Time child drop-off service this week
raised more money and was a good time for both children and the
volunteer helpers. We are likely to do some form of this again;
please Reply and let us know if you would be interesting in getting
time for yourself by having the Met care for your kids (maybe for
holiday shopping ...?).

We were touched by this week's Editorial in the Nutfield News, and do
hope that everyone's hard work on the Save the Met campaign serves as
a good community example as the publisher describes:

THANK YOU for your interest and support!
